Sunday Service
Led by the fabulous Sister Sarah Murr, this popular musical theatre and cabaret event is a "church" for show tunes and camp performances.
I don’t believe in god but I do believe in Musical Theatre, and the new Sunday Service, run by Sister Sarah Murr and Sydney Cabaret is a revelation. - 5 Star Review, Cultural Binge
Show Queen
SHOW QUEEN has been a staple in Sydney’s cabaret scene since 2008.
Hosted by Australia’s Queen of Cabaret Trevor Ashley, each time we feature a handpicked lineup of Australia's best and brightest musical stars and cabaret performers - direct from musicals in Sydney and around the country.
Movicals
Say it out loud and it makes perfect sense. MOVICALS or Movie-cals?...Iconic musical moments from the movies. You get it!
Movie moments like Bette Midler, Diane Keaton and Goldie Hawn sashaying down the street, all in white, singing You Don’t Own Me in The First Wives Club or Deloris Van Cartier (aka Whoopie Goldberg) serving it to the lord in, well any Sister Act musical moment…
There are many breakout musical moments from non-musical films which never get performed live - until now!
Our three leading ladies Georgina Hopson (Ragtime - Green Room Award Winner 2020), Monique Salle (Rent) and Angelina Thompson (West Side Story) will camp up their triple-threat talents to recreate and interpret iconic moments from a mix of movie genres. Accompanied by Musical Director extraordinare Steven Kramer.
Applause for a Cause
Look outside - the sky is ablaze, the smoke is heavy, ash is blanketing the city and summer only just started. We don't mean to lay it on thick, but these bushfires are insane.
So we're putting our skills to good use and putting on a concert to raise funds for the brave souls fighting the fires on the front line.
On Monday 16 December, APPLAUSE FOR A CAUSE: A Concert supporting the NSW Rural Fire Service will feature some of Australia's best musical, drag and cabaret performers in Act 1 singing songs to the theme of 'community'. Then we're opening the microphone up to the audience for Act 2 (if you want to sing, simply bring your piano sheet music (in the right key) and register when you arrive).
Featuring performances by Simon Burke (Wharf Revue), Georgina Hopson (Ragtime), Angelina Thomson (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, Natalie Abbott (Muriel - Muriel's Wedding The Musical), Daniel Downing (Kinky Boots) as Karla Bear, Nat Jobe (Aladdin), Sarah Murr (Les Miserables), Olivia Vasquez (West Side Story), Daniel Assetta (West Side Story), Irene Nicola (Antipasto) + more, and Bev Kennedy our musical director.
Christina Bianco - Unlikely Interpretations
The Girl Of A Thousand Voices brings her versatile vocals and spot-on impressions in an intimate evening of comedy chaos!
Internationally acclaimed performer Christina Bianco performs her signature ‘Unlikely Interpretations’, pairing famous singers with unexpected songs and miscast actors in roles they’d never play.
Expect a sell-out crowd at Ginger’s at The Oxford Hotel to hear re-arrangements of hit songs, with music direction by the diabolical Joe Louis Robinson.
Christina and Joe will take on-the-spot suggestions from the audience to improvise musical mash-ups!
Covering a myriad of styles and genres, from Edith Piaf to Ariana Grande, they’ll take us on a musical comedy journey that’ll be both hysterical and heartwarming.
Alexis Fishman is Amy Resurrected

Expect the beehive, the foul-mouth and all of Amy's hits, including some you may never have heard before.
