Sydney Cabaret Playlist brings together a handpicked line-up of some of Australia’s finest musical theatre performers for an intimate night of live music.

Each artist takes the stage with their own 20-minute playlist — sharing the songs, stories and influences that have shaped them. Expect musical theatre, pop, original music, unexpected favourites and the occasional song you’d completely forgotten you loved.

Like the perfect playlist or ultimate mixtape, every song leads somewhere unexpected. Voices collide, stories unfold, and extraordinary artists share the music that means something to them.

Playlist #1 brought together four extraordinary artists for our sold-out debut: Adam Noviello, actor, recording artist, writer and filmmaker; Naomi Livingston, singer, composer, writer and endlessly inventive creative; Rob McDougall, acclaimed singer, musician, actor and conductor; and Brittanie Shipway, performer, writer, director and dramaturg.

Across four completely different 20-minute sets, they took us from musical theatre and pop to original music and unexpected favourites — sharing the songs, stories and influences that have shaped their own personal playlists.
