2019 GRAND FINAL PERFORMANCES

2019 recap

From all entries received (and there were many), 27 contestants were invited to perform in the 3 heats.

In each heat, the audience selected 1 winner, the judges selected 2 other winners, and all 3 progressed to the grand final. The grand final was held on Wednesday 10 July as part of the Sydney Cabaret Festival.

Hosted by the Festival Director Trevor Ashley, the grand final was moved to a bigger theatre due to demand for tickets and support for our finalists. Joining Trevor on the judging panel were international cabaret stars Brian Nash, Alison Jiear and Natalie Joy Johnson.

And it was an amazing night! 9 amazing women performed on the night and made the return of the cabaret competition a success - Ali Calder, Sarah Murr, Rachael Gillfeather, Nyssa Milligan, Katelin Koprivec, Irene Nicola, and Naomi Livingston.

Congratulations to our runner up - Clare Ellen O’Connor with her show Plucked! and the Audience Choice and Winner - Billie Palin, and her incredible performance in ‘From Dubbo to Death’.
